Voltify is operated by PowerAfric (operating Voltify). This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website and marketplace, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account, browsing the marketplace, or contacting us, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Data we collect

We collect information you provide directly and data generated through your use of Voltify.

• Account details: name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), role (provider or partner), and profile information.
• Business information: company name, registration details, address, country, and verification documents for partners and suppliers.
• Marketplace activity: product listings, catalogue data, orders, RFQs, cart contents, and availability responses.
• Communications: messages you send to support or through platform features.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and server logs for security and troubleshooting.

How we use your data

• Provide and operate the Voltify marketplace and dashboards.
• Authenticate users and maintain secure sessions.
• Verify partner and supplier accounts and product listings.
• Process orders, RFQs, and procurement workflows.
• Respond to support requests and improve the platform.
• Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Legal bases for processing

Depending on your location, we process personal data on one or more of the following bases: performance of a contract (providing the services you request), legitimate interests (operating and securing the platform), compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required (for example, non-essential cookies when enabled).

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it in accordance with our retention schedules.

Voltify serves users across Africa and globally. Partners may operate from outside Nigeria. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we apply appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable data protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act and, where relevant, GDPR.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability or withdrawal of consent where processing is consent-based.
